About the Convention

This is the 7th Canadian Railway Convention and the first CARM convention to be held in Ottawa, Canada’s National Capital, a beautiful city located along the Ottawa River. The city is located in Ontario and borders the city of Gatineau, formerly Hull, in the province of Quebec.

The convention will take place from Friday May 20th, 2011 to Monday May 23rd, 2011. The venue will be the Algonquin College Campus in Building "A". The complex includes a large convention meeting area, smaller breakout rooms, and pub areas for dining and socialization.

The residence facilities are located a short walk nearby. All of the spacious guest suites feature 2 private bedrooms with a double bed in each room, a private kitchenette with fridge, free local calls and voicemail, air conditioning, cable TV in each bedroom and internet access. Those staying in residence will enjoy 24-hour coffee service and a complementry continental breakfast served in the main lobby of the residence. Just like home!

Ottawa has many wonderful attractions for visitors. The Tulip Festival, museums, art galleries, Parliament Hill, City sight-seeing tours and shopping - many experiences worthy of some extra time to enjoy! The average 19 degree C weather in mid-May promises to provide lots of colour in the world famous tulip beds!
