POSTPONEMENT

The 2020 Toronto CARM Convention has been postponed due to the risks associated with the outbreak of the Covid19 virus.

A revised date will be announced once it is clear that the convention can proceed without risk to delegates, organizers, clinicians, layout hosts and others involved in the successful execution of this event.

The Spring 2020 issue of The Canadian as well as the Winter 2020 issue carry articles describing some of the layouts which will be on display for delegates to the future convention. Keep these issues for future reference.

We recommend registering for the 2020 Toronto CARM Convention in advance, to save time when you arrive and save money. You can also register at the door, for a higher price. There is no online registration.

To register in advance (before March 31):

  1. Print and fill out the registration form, using the instructions below.
    When you are finished printing the form, closing that browser tab will bring you back here.
  2. Write a cheque for the total price, payable to the Toronto Chapter Treasurer:

    and mail it with the registration form to:
        CARM Convention Registrar

  3. It must be postmarked by March 31, 2020 to take advantage of the discounted rate.
  4. You will be sent a registration confirmation, and if you provided an email address a link to layout tour planning information.
  5. When you arrive come to the registration desk to pick up your badge and convention information package.
  6. Also check at the registration desk whether we have tourist information or coupons you're interested in, or for help arranging carpooling.

To register at the door:

  1. It will save you time to print and fill out the registration form in advance and bring it with you.
    When you are finished printing the form, closing that tab will bring you back here.
    The form will also be available in the Winter and Spring 2020 issues of The Canadian and at the registration desk.
  2. Come to the registration desk when you arrive to register, pay, pick up your badge and convention information package.
  3. NOTE: We can only accept cash or cheques, NOT credit or debit cards.
  4. Cheques must be payable to the Toronto Chapter Treasurer:

  5. Also check at the registration desk whether we have tourist information or coupons you're interested in, or for help arranging carpooling.

Convention registration desk hours:

The registration desk hours are not final.

The convention registration desk will be open on Friday May 8 from 1 pm? to 9 pm? except from 5 pm to 7 pm during the Meet and Greet, and also on Saturday May 9 from 8 am? to 10 am when the AGM begins.

The registration desk location will be announced in March. It will likely be in or near the convention activity room, or near the building entrance.

Convention Price:

The convention price is on the registration form. (Transportation, meals other than Meat and Greet, and accomodation if needed are not included in the price.)

The price for spouses/partners and youth or children depends on whether they are participating in the Clinics and/or Layout Tours, or only participating in the Meet and Greet and Non-Rail or other non-convention activities, and for youth and children on their age. See the registration form.

If you want to join CARM or renew an expired membership to get the member discount, click on "Joining CARM" in the menu above. Annual dues vary from $0 to $36 depending on what you want mailed versus emailed to you.
