Be sure to check out the latest issue, #66, of The Canadian as it has been added to the newsletter section in the members area.
I know many of you may not have updated your member information so take a few minutes to do this using the membership form and fill out out as completely as possible. Also pass along your coming events as I know that there are many events happining that members and the general public would be interested in. Of couse be sure that the events are trains related.

Kingston Rail O Rama

The 30th edition of Rail O Rama will feature operating layouts as well as railroad-related displays. A variety of vendors will also be present offering for sale model trains, both new and used, modeling supplies and tools, books, DVDs and railroad memorabilia. A Thomas activity table for tots and a hands-on Lionel layout foe older children will also be featured. Something for the whole family!
Admission: Adults $6, Children (5-12) $3.
Directions:
To get to the show at the Ambassador Hotel, 1550 Princess Street, Kingston K7M 9E3 from Hwy 401 Exit 613 head south on Sydenham Road. At the first light turn left onto Princess Street (Hwy 2). Go straight at the second light - the Ambassador Hotel is on the right over the CN overpass.

45th Lindsay & District Model Railroad Club Show

This is the 45 year for the model railroad show in Lindsay. Again this year there will numerous layouts to view in various scales and gauges. There will be a Thomas the Train Layout just for the kids that they can operate. There will be live steam on display along with handmade ships and boats from the Kawartha Marine Modelers.
Along the perimeter of the show floor will be various vendors selling model railway trains and associated buildings and scenery.
The cost is $6.00 for adults and $2.00 for ages 6 to 12. Under 6 is free.
Directions:
The Victoria Park Armories is at 210 Kent Street West which is the main street that runs through the center of town east to west. It is located just west of the downtown core in Victoria Park. You will find the building on the north side of the street sitting on the west side of the park. It will be on your right hand side if driving west and left hand side if traveling east. There will be a sign out front near the street and parking is available in and around the streets surrounding the park.

Forest City Rails is a super-meet held by the London Chapter of CARM.
This will be a great time to visit with other like minded and rail oriented modellers from around the area. Tours will be made of important local railway landmarks, including the Canada Southern Station and Elgin County Railway Museum in St. Thomas. Local and club layouts will also be open throughout this time for viewing by event members. Don't miss out on this great opportunity.

Directions from Toronto: St. Thomas is a two hour drive from Toronto. To reach the Stoneridge Inn, take the 401 West from Toronto.
Exit at 177A, Highway 4/ Colonel Talbot Road, towards St. Thomas. After crossing over the highway, turn right on Burtwistle Lane. Stay to the right for Burtwistle Lane and you will find the hotel to your left.
Directions from Windsor:
St Thomas is one hour and 50 minutes from Windsor. Take the 401 East, exit at 177A and merge onto Highway 4/ Colonel Talbot Road, towards St. Thomas. Turn right on Burtwistle Lane. Stay to the right for Burtwistle Lane and you will find the hotel to your left.
